Americas Cardroom Tees Up OSS Cub3d XI

ACR OSS Cub3d WPN

To new poker players, OSS Cub3d XI on ACR seems like a wild jumble of acronyms. For Americas Cardroom players – or any players on Winning Poker Network sites like Black Chip Poker – they know this means a set of three poker tournament series online that offers something for every type of player.

OSS is the Online Super Series, and the Cub3d means it is a comprehensive tournament series multiplied by three. And ACR is, of course, Americas Cardroom.

The 11th iteration of OSS Cub3d is set, and the entire series will run from February 7 to March 14. It will be the longest to date. And the triple-series festival will guarantee at least $13 million in prize pool money.

Mark Your Calendars

Americas Cardroom has not released the exact schedules yet. The team is likely putting the finishing touches on the three schedules – one for MOSS, another for OSS, and the last one for BOSS.

The last time the series ran as a whole was through the month of August 2020. Players have been anxiously awaiting its virtual return.

MOSS is the Mini Online Super Series, one which often turns out to be the most popular of the three. MOSS offers millions of dollars in guarantees for tournaments with buy-ins sometimes as low as $0.45 but only as high as $55. They keep this schedule low so players of all bankrolls can compete.

ACR hosted a special MOSS – without its other two Cub3d partners – in November/December 2020, one that offered 167 tournaments and $2.5 million in guarantees. Since it was a standalone series, it offered double the events and guarantees usually reserved for MOSS.

The schedule for the upcoming MOSS to kick off the OSS Cub3d is pending but should be available in the coming days. What we know now is that it will run February 7-21, and this is the general Main Event info:

–Sunday, February 21:  $55 buy-in MOSS Main Event ($500K GTD)

The OSS is the big one, the flagship series of the group, the one that started it all. This offers a very wide range of buy-ins to bring all players together. Again, the official schedule should follow in the days ahead, but for now, we simply have the dates of February 22 to March 7 and this Main Event info:

–Sunday, March 7:  $630 buy-in OSS Main Event ($1M GTD)

Finally, BOSS will close it out. The Bigger Online Super Series caters to the players seeking higher-stakes action. Everyone can get in on it through satellites, of course, but the buy-ins are made for the bigger bettors. It is set for March 8-14 with this Main Event:

–Sunday, March 14: $2,650 buy-in BOSS Main Event ($1M GTD)

Venom Starts This Week

Before OSS Cub3d begins, ACR will focus on its massive Venom tournament. The first of four starting flights begins this Friday for the tournament that will guarantee $8 million for the prize pool and at least $1 million for the winner:

–Friday, January 22: Venom Day 1A

–Sunday, January 24: Venom Day 1B

–Friday, January 29: Venom Day 1C

–Sunday, January 31: Venom Day 1D

–Monday, February 1: Day 2

–Tuesday, February 2: Day 3

–Wednesday, February 3: Final Table
