WSOP 2024 Latest Updates
The World Series of Poker has been settled in at its new location on the Las Vegas Strip for several years now, and the WSOP is ready for its biggest summer series ever. The first iteration of the schedule shows that there will be 99 live tournaments (as compared to 95 in 2023) at Paris and Horseshoe casinos from May 28 to July 17, 2024.
The number of online bracelet events and pertinent details will be announced at a later date. There will also be a future announcement about the Tournament of Champions.
All of the details are on our WSOP 2024 Schedule page.
When is the 2024 World Series?
This year’s summer WSOP action will start on May 28 and run through July 17, just a few days off of the 2023 bookend dates.
WSOP Senior Vice President and Executive Director Ty Stewart commented on the 2024 schedule: “With our best schedule ever and more than 100 additional poker tables, we look forward to welcoming legends, first-timers and everyone in between. If you’re a poker player, there is simply no experience on earth like the World Series of Poker.”
As was the case in 2023, the WSOP Main Event is a big focus again this year. Last year, that tournament became the largest ever and set a new standard for participation in satellites and the Main Event itself. The WSOP team hopes to surpass those numbers and set new records in 2024.
Settled on the Strip
In 2022, the WSOP made its debut on the Las Vegas Strip. After 17 years at the off-Strip Rio, the series took parent company Caesars up on its offer to use the ballrooms of Paris and Bally’s Las Vegas. It worked out so well that they kept it going in 2023, and the two casinos will provide the home for the WSOP again in 2024.
In 2023, Bally’s transformed into Horseshoe Las Vegas, harkening back to the the beginning of the World Series of Poker and its early years. Today’s Horseshoe brand reflects modern-day accommodations and casino offerings with a respectful nod to its history.
Paris and Horseshoe are connected. Not only through their ownership but literally through an interior hallway lined with stores and restaurants. Players can easily walk between the casinos indoors or outdoors. As was the case in 2022 and 2023, the WSOP 2024 will utilize the ballroom spaces of both casinos. They are just a few minutes of a walk/scooter/wheelchair from each other. In 2023, WSOP action utilized 200,000 square feet of convention space for 608 poker tables. This year, there will be 100 more tables in use to accommodate more players and create an overall better experience.
Players will find Paris and Horseshoe easily accessible from nearby casinos. There is a shared parking garage, but the properties are also accessible by walking, driving, taking the Las Vegas Monorail or Deuce double-decker buses, or using taxis or ride-shares like Uber or Lyft.
WSOP 2024 Schedule
The 2024 World Series of Poker will host 99 live tournaments at Paris and Horseshoe this summer. This number may increase with the addition of the WSOP Tournament of Champions, and WSOP Online will announce bracelet events in the Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ontario markets as well.

Main Event 2024 Schedule
The 2023 WSOP Main Event made history. With 10,043 players and a $94M prize pool, it became the largest World Series Main Event ever and awarded the largest first-place prize of $12.1M to winner Daniel Weinman.
This year, the WSOP wants to do even better. There will be more Main Event qualifiers from GGPoker online poker satellites – more than the 774 in 2023 – and Main Event Maynia will return with land-based satellites at partner casinos across the United States and the world.
The 2024 WSOP Main Event will start July 3-6, four starting days that will give players flight choices around the holiday. Late registration will also remain open July 7-8, the two Day 2 flights, through much of the afternoon.
Ultimately, the Main Event will play down to the final table, which will take place July 16-17.

Rozvadov is a town located on the boundary between Czech Republic and Germany. This location has been hosting the WSOPE since 2017, and the collaboration continues to flourish.
The 2024 WSOP schedule is almost identical to last year’s lineup, with the primary exception as earlier dates. The only other difference from 2023 is two lower tournament guarantees. Even so, the 15 bracelet events will guarantee more than €15M in prize money.

WSOP Paradise 2024
The first-ever WSOP Paradise took place in December 2023 with 15 bracelet events at the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas. Players traveled from around the world, including hundreds upon hundreds of players who won seats into tournaments via GGPoker online poker satellites. The success of the series is likely to prompt a second one this year, though the dates and details will likely not be available until late summer or early fall.
WSOP 2024 Registration
Those interested in trying their hand at the World Series of Poker can register in-person and online. US players will need to provide ID, while international players will need to bring ID, a utility or mobile bill, rental or mortgage agreement, or something official with proof of address. All players will need a Caesars Rewards card.
In-Person Registration
To register in person, players can go to the Champagne Ballroom, near the front end of the Paris Convention Center. This office opens on Tuesday, May 28 at 9:00am and will remain open from 6:30am to 5:00am daily, with just a 90-minute break in the wee hours of the morning through Wednesday, July 17. Guests residing in the United States are required to present a valid picture identification, Caesars Rewards card, and payment to enter events.
Payment possibilities in person at Paris are:
- Credit/Debit Card – Accepted card payment types include Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Fees will be assessed, and players must present corresponding ID.
- Cashier’s Check – To be made payable to the player from his/her accredited bank account.
- Gaming Chips – Valid if only from Paris or Horseshoe casinos.
Online Registration
Online registration is an option again this year using Bravo Poker Live, the vendor that has supplied the WSOP registration and payout program software since 2016. For those who register and send payment online, it will reduce time spent at the casino waiting in line. Note that in-person verification is required for only the first event played, after which the entire process can be online and at kiosks at Horseshoe and Paris. It is important to note the ways to pay for online registration buy-ins:
- Credit Card – for buy-ins $10,000 and under only. Accepted card payment types include Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Once a credit card has been verified for WSOP 2024, this same card can then be used for online registration until the end of the WSOP.
- ACH – for buy-ins $10,000 and under only.
- Bravo TBIC – Bravo Live tournament buy-in credits are earned through Caesars promotions or funded with money transfers or cash at the Paris cashier cage.
- WSOP Tournament Account – Must set up at Paris cashier cage with cash or gaming chips, but then can be used to register online or via Bravo Poker Live. Players can transfer tournament winnings to this account.
- Wire Transfer – requires registration at least 14 days before the event’s start date. More information from WSOP is forthcoming.
Pre-registration will open in May via an announcement by the WSOP.
For more details on all of the registration options, see our article about WSOP registration.
WSOP Daily Deepstacks
The Daily Deepstacks at the World Series of Poker are not bracelet-awarding events, but the tournaments have become more popular every year. There are several options each day, with buy-ins generally ranging from $200 to $400. In fact, some people play more Daily Deepstacks than bracelet events.
The 2024 WSOP Daily Deepstack schedule is set as follows:
- Daily $250 buy-in NLHE at 1pm (May 28 – July 16)
- Daily $400 buy-in NLHE at 4pm with accelerated format (May 28 – July 16)
- Daily $200 buy-in NLHE at 8pm with accelerated format (May 28 – July 16)
- Thursday $250 buy-in Seniors (50+) NLHE at 9am (May 30 – July 11)
- Monday $250 buy-in HORSE at 3pm (June 3 – July 15)
Women also have a special Ladies NLHE Warm-Up tournament prior to the WSOP Ladies Championship bracelet event. The non-bracelet Warm-Up will be a $150 buy-in NLHE tournament at 6pm on June 25. (The $150 is a discounted price for women. Men registering for the women-only event will pay $1,500 to enter.)
Competing Las Vegas Series
The WSOP is the main game in town, but that hasn’t stopped other poker rooms in Las Vegas from capitalizing on the influx of poker players in May, June, and July. More poker rooms are offering competing tournament series in 2024 than ever before.
The benefit of the plethora of poker series is that players have a vast variety of tournament options. Some offer more mixed games, others reduce buy-ins, and a couple of them offer events that are not on the sometimes-frustratingly-busy Las Vegas Strip.
Only a couple of poker rooms have released their schedules for their 2024 competing tournament series.
- Wynn Las Vegas – 2024 Wynn Summer Classic (May 22-July 18, $37M GTD, up from $28M last year)
- Venetian Las Vegas – 2024 DeepStack Championship Poker Series (79 events, nearly $14M GTD)
- Aria – 2024 Aria Poker Classic not announced (last year: 43 events, more than $5.3M GTD)
- MGM Grand – 2024 Summer Poker Festival not announced (last year: 58 events, nearly $4M GTD)
- Golden Nugget – 2024 Grand Poker Series not announced (last year: 89 events, more than $3M GTD)
- Orleans – 2024 Orleans Summer Open not announced (last year: 112 events, more than $2.7M GTD)
There are also a number of events in the summer for women only, at the WSOP and casinos around Las Vegas. More information will appear in the coming weeks.
