Justin Vaysman Wins Poker Masters Event #6 After Quarter-Big-Blind Comeback

Justin Vaysman of Horsham, Pennsylvania, has won Event #6 of the 2026 Poker Masters, earning $192,000 and his first PokerGO Tour (PGT) title. The no-limit hold’em event at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas brought in 64 entries. The $640,000 prize pool paid the top 10 players.
The bigger story is how close he came to busting. Five-handed, Vaysman was down to 20,000 in chips, less than a single forced bet, before rallying to beat Sean Winter heads-up. The three-time bracelet winner now has more than $2 million in career tournament earnings.
Seven players returned for Day 2, and Vaysman sat third in chips. Winter had 1,405,000 chips, Victoria Livschitz had 1,395,000 and Vaysman had 1,205,000.
Vaysman had already made his mark late on Day 1. His pocket sevens knocked out Adrian Mateos (A-Q) and Robert Chorlian (A-6) on the money bubble, the last spot before players get paid. Mateos, the series leader, had now bubbled four times through six events.
The minimum cash was $19,200. Here is how the final seven finished:
The low point came five-handed. Winter raised to 660,000 from the small blind with 8♦7♥, and Vaysman called with A♥9♦, leaving himself just 20,000 chips.
Vaysman’s ace-high led until the river. The board ran 6♠Q♥10♣5♥7♦, and the 7♦ gave Winter a pair of sevens. His remaining stack was worth a quarter of a big blind.
With so few chips left, Vaysman needed to win several all-ins to stay alive. He did exactly that, winning three in a row to climb back to 400,000, or about five big blinds.
His biggest swing came in a three-way all-in. Vaysman held A♣9♣ against Brandon Wilson’s A♥K♠ and Winter’s K♣3♥. The 8♦6♣5♦7♣7♦ board gave him a nine-high straight, and he tripled up to 2,050,000.
Vaysman was still far behind when heads-up play began. Winter had roughly three times as many chips.
The turning point was a river call. On a K♠A♥9♣Q♥2♣ board, Winter shoved with 10♥6♦. Vaysman called with K♥6♣, which was only second pair with an ace on board. Winter was bluffing, and the pot gave Vaysman the chip lead.
Calling a river shove with second pair was a risky move. With an ace and a queen on board, many of Winter’s value hands beat it, so Vaysman had to judge that a bluff was likely.
On the final hand, Vaysman held 10♠9♥ against Winter’s J♦3♦. The 10♦9♦7♣ flop gave Vaysman top two pair. Winter had a straight and flush draw. Winter moved all in on the K♥ turn, and the 10♥ river gave Vaysman a full house.
The $192,000 win is Vaysman’s third-largest tournament prize, behind two other results:
The title also earned him 192 PGT points. It was his second cash of the series after a sixth-place finish in the kickoff event. That gives him 231 series points and fifth place in the race for the Purple Jacket, the prize for the Poker Masters series champion.
The series runs through October 23. Its champion receives the Purple Jacket and a $25,000 PGT Passport. Vaysman also picked up 360 Card Player Player of the Year points for his sixth final table of the year.
Vaysman’s win adds another major title to his career, which includes success in both live and online poker. After coming back from just a quarter of a big blind, he now has a chance to compete for the Poker Masters Purple Jacket as the series heads into its final events.
