PokerStars USA Prepares Bounty Builder Series

Written by Jennifer Newell
Last updated on May 11th, 2022
PokerStars USA Bounty Builder Series The United States online poker market is growing, slowly but surely. And PokerStars’ presence is a big part of that with sites in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. Just last month, PokerStars USA wrapped its 2021 SCOOP USA series in those three states. That Spring Championship of Online Poker action for each state did well, Pennsylvania seeing the most action with more than $2.6M in prize money awarded. Michigan was a close second with more than $2.3M, and NJSCOOP added more than $1.3M to the grand total. That total across three states exceeded $6.35M. The next series on tap is not as big as SCOOP – few other things will be – but PokerStars and its players are excited about the Bounty Builder Series scheduled to start on May 13. Everybody loves a good knockout tournament, and this series is full of them.

Bounties for All

PokerStars is ready to bring the progressive knockout format – better known as PKO – to American players…well, those in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey for now. The series will run May 13-23. Across the three states, PokerStars will guarantee more than $2M in prize pools over the course of 135 PKO tournaments in total. Each state will award six PokerStars Bounty Builder Series trophies, five for tournaments and one for the leaderboard champion in each state. That leaderboard in each state will also award cash prizes to the other top finishers. In addition, all players will receive a free $1 bounty in a special $5 buy-in tournament. There will also be freeroll tickets awarded to give players a chance at the May 21 freeroll with tickets to the Main Event for the winners. Through that big freeroll, players can also win tickets to a special new hybrid satellite that will award cash prizes. https://twitter.com/PokerStarsUSA/status/1523362852827897858?s=20&t=7iuFu-_BIZbNH7fmLstY7g PokerStars posted the full schedules for all three states on its blog.

The Pennsylvania series will be the largest of the three. It will guarantee $1M in total prize pools across 44 tournaments. The highlights of this series are the trophy events, including the Main Event.
