Ignition Poker to Send Players to Irish Poker Open

Ignition Irish Poker Open

Ignition Poker is jumping right into 2023 with a big promotion. The site is awarding dozens of prize packages – each worth $4K – to send poker players to the Irish Poker Open in Dublin. The world-famous live poker tournament series is set to run April 3-10.

Players who win the prize packages will receive seats to the Main Event, which will offer a €1M guarantee. There will be nearly 40 other events on the schedule from which to choose.

This is one of the biggest promotions that Ignition Poker has run in quite some time. And the players will benefit by being able to visit Ireland in the springtime.

Irish Poker Open

The Irish Poker Open sounds like a regional event, but players travel from around the world to compete. It is the oldest tournament – with the exception of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas – having started more than 42 years ago.

This year, the action will take place at the Royal Dublin Society, a change from last year’s venue, which was the Citywest Hotel in Dublin.

At the 2022 Irish Poker Open, there were 42 events on the official schedule. And the Main Event was a massive undertaking…that paid off. The €1,150 No Limit Hold’em Main Event brought in 2,040 entries to create a prize pool of €1,989,000 (approximately $2.1M in US currency. Longtime poker pro Steve O’Dwyer won it for €318,700.

This year, there is more competition for tournament players at locations around the world. So, the Main Event will keep its €1,150 buy-in and guarantee that the prize pool will at least hit €1M.

The full Irish Poker Open schedule is on the event’s website, complete with tournament information (buy-ins, reentries, late registration, starting stacks, etc.), and a link to a structure sheet for each event.

As for the Main Event, its details are as follows:

-€1,150 + €150 buy-in Irish Open Main NLHE

-4 starting flights April 4-7

-€1M prize pool guarantee

-30,000 starting chips

-Blind levels 60 minutes (changing to 40 minutes when three-handed)

-1 reentry per flight

-Late registration open to the start of Day 2

-Final table April 10

The entire series will run April 3-10.

Seats and More Seats

Ignition Poker wanted in on the action. What better way to do that than to offer dozens of prize packages to send players to the Irish Poker Open.

In fact, Ignition is awarding at least 50 prize packages, each of which will include enough money for the Main Event seat, airfare and hotel, and spending cash for expenses. Each prize package is worth approximately €4K.

To participate, simply look for Irish Poker Open satellites with buy-ins as low as $3.30. By starting small, players can work their way through the satellite steps to several mega satellites. The big satellites will run every Sunday and Monday night from January 30 to March 5. Each will offer five prize packages to last players standing.

But as they get down to the wire, there will be more seats. The satellites on Sunday, February 26 will offer eight packages, and the final mega on Sunday, March 5 will guarantee 10 prize packages.
