BetOnline $1M PKO Series Starts February 19

BetOnline PKO King of the Ring

Bounty tournaments are all the rage. Poker players love them because it changes the dynamics of a normal No Limit Hold’em tournament, requiring a bit of a different strategy when people are gunning for players based on their bounties. It’s also easier to make some money without having to make it all the way through the money bubble in a bounty tournament. What player doesn’t want more action and more ways to make money at the tables?

BetOnline is putting a series of nearly-all PKO events, complete with $1M guaranteed from February 19-26. It’s time to get in there and virtually knock out some opponents.

King of the Ring

The PKO (progressive knockout) series at BetOnline and Sportsbetting.ag is called the King of the Ring.

Action starts just 30 minutes into Sunday, February 19 – at 12:30am ET to be exact. And it will continue with numerous tournaments each day through Sunday, February 26.

There will be 111 tournaments in total, with buy-ins ranging from $5.50 to $215, most on the lower end of that range. And there is a total guarantee across the series of $1M.

All of the King of the Ring PKO events are run at 50/50, meaning 50% of every buy-in goes to the prize pool and the other 50% goes to each player’s bounty. For example, when Player A knocks out Player B, Player A collects 50% of Player B’s bounty, with the other 50% being added to the bounty on Player A’s head. Bounties on some players, therefore, increase as the tournament moves forward.

The highlights of the series, which fall on the last day of the series, are:

-Event 101:  $22 buy-in NLHE PKO ($50K GTD)

-Special:  $109 buy-in NLHE (not a PKO) ($250K GTD)

-Event 106:  $109 buy-in NLHE PKO ($50K GTD)

Leaderboard Challenge

The King of the Ring Leaderboard will award another $10K in prize money at the end of the series. Players who compete in any of the events will earn points for any in-the-money finishes and qualify for any or all of the three leaderboards:

-Lightweight Leaderboard ($5.50 – $11 buy-ins) = $1,500 in tournament tickets

-Middleweight Leaderboard ($22 – $55 buy-ins) = $3,500 in tournament tickets

-Heavyweight Leaderboard ($100+ buy-ins) = $5K in tournament tickets

The top 35 finishers in each category will win something for accumulating points.
