PartyPoker Updates Mac Client

Written by Jennifer Newell
Last updated on May 31st, 2025
PartyPoker logo Mac computer users are a dedicated group of people. They love their Apple products. When it comes to online poker, Mac users have long struggled to find poker sites that offer Mac-compatible software that doesn’t require inconvenient work-arounds. Over time, many real money poker operators have accommodated Mac players. They have realized how loyal some players are to their Macs, and those players would often rather change poker sites than change computers. So, operators have made changes. PartyPoker wanted to be of service to Mac poker players, and it finally achieved the level of software that would win over the masses in 2011. The software download was quick, many original features were included, and the availability of cash games soon led to tournaments and more. Even so, the Mac client requires a certain level of upkeep, and as fast as Apple technology improves, so must online poker software. https://twitter.com/ThePokeriety/status/979330705648947200

Latest Update Offers Many Improvements

The latest software update happened nearly two weeks ago, so many players have already taken note of the new and improved Mac software. For those who have yet to see it, there are quite a few features that will appeal to many in the Apple world. There are everyday improvements that will be easy to spot:
--New multi-select filters that will also be collapsible via a future update. --Tournament search function. --Preferences saved in poker lobby to avoid unnecessary searching. --Wait list button now available in lobby. --Prize pool column to keep players better informed.
In addition, the Power Series are improved and offer new mega satellites. The Power Series is the weekly tournament schedule that offers a regular lineup of tournaments throughout the week that cumulatively guarantee $10 million in prize money. While there are daily majors and ladies-only tournaments available, there are also the following big-money opportunities:
--Super Sunday --Knockout Monday --Big Tuesday --6-Max Wednesday --Big Thursday --Fight Night Friday --Smooth Saturday
Mac users can play the mega satellites with nearly $700,000 in Power Series tickets guaranteed each week, and the buy-ins range from $11 to $109. Further, the MILLIONS leaderboard for online players is now available on Macs, showing all of the points earned by cashing in Power Series events and awarding prizes for the top finishers each week. According to PartyPoker, there will be many more updates for Mac users in the coming months. One thing to look out for is newly-shaped tables and other lobby features like collapsible filters. And if players are lucky – as every poker players wants to be – the PC and Mac updates will be released in sync so everyone has the same features at the same time. https://twitter.com/LittleDog78/status/920690506539175936
