The majority of people in America are currently in some form of quarantine due to the threat of COVID-19. Amidst a flurry of business and general life shutdowns over the past two weeks, almost every casino and card room closed. Live poker is only available to those willing to risk a private, underground gathering at this point.
Enter Americas Cardroom.
The flagship site of the Winning Poker Network just wrapped a massive series. Online Super Series Cub3d kicked off on February 9 with the small buy-in series (MOSS), and the regular OSS followed, with the high-stakes one (BOSS) finished it up on March 8. The three-part series offered 220 tournaments and approximately $13 million in prize pool guarantees.
But when Americas Cardroom saw that poker players across America were left with no live poker options and stuck in their homes for the foreseeable future, the site set up the Online Super Series XL. And it already got underway, having started on March 18.
OSS XL at Your Service
The Online Super Series XL started on March 18 and will run through April 6.
With a massive 171 tournaments on the schedule, players will find $12 million in total guarantees. Included in those numbers are four tournaments with $1 million guarantees each.
Those four big tournaments are as follows:
Buy-ins start as low as $1.50, but even for the big buy-in events, there are satellites available in the Cyclones Blitz Poker satellite section of the site for as little as $0.25.
Most of the tournaments are No Limit Hold’em events, but there are also a fair amount of Omaha and Stud events.
Off to a Hot Start
