WSOP Online Offers Satellites and Player Appreciation Event

Written by Jennifer Newell
Last updated on December 17th, 2021
As poker players pour into Nevada from around the world this weekend and in the coming days, they will be inundated with poker options. There will be tournaments available in nearly every poker room in Las Vegas, with the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino serving as ground zero. Of course, that is where the 50th Annual World Series of Poker will be held. Most players who want to participate in the 2019 WSOP will be at the Rio, whether for any of the dozens of gold bracelet events on the schedule, the daily tournaments, or the cash games available around the clock. There will be a plethora of poker available from May 29 to July 16. Of the 89 gold bracelet tournaments, it’s important to remember that nine of them will be online events at WSOP.com. Anyone in New Jersey can register for an account and play. New Jersey participation is yet to be determined, though the first two online bracelet events will definitely be open to players in Nevada and New Jersey. Everything on the schedule after June 14, per a deadline set by the US Department of Justice, and should be determined before that date with a court ruling. That ruling from the US District Court is expected any day. As for those in Nevada, the WSOP has revealed what to expect with regard to online events.

First Things First

Players on WSOP.com need not be residents of Nevada, as visitors are welcome to play. Thus, the nine gold bracelet events on the schedule. The first thing to do is to download the WSOP online poker program on a laptop or mobile device, and instructions for that are here. When making deposits, the WSOP is providing special codes:
--First deposit:  WSOP2019 --Reload:  WSOP2019R
Deposits are doubled up to $1,000, and players receive a WSOP gold bracelet freeroll ticket for using the specified codes.

Satellites and Freerolls

Next, players will want to play some satellites, either for the online or live events. First, there will be a Player Appreciation Tournament online this summer:
Date:  June 9 Time:  6:00pm PST Buy-in:  $525 Guarantee:  $300K
Freerolls are already underway for this event. There were twice-weekly freerolls happening since May 1, but beginning on May 26 and running through June 7, there will be daily freerolls to win entries into the Player Appreciation Tournament. The freerolls will run at 5pm on weekends and 7pm on weekdays. Additionally, on June 8 at 6:30pm, there will be a $33 satellite for this event with 25 seats guaranteed. As for satellites to live events, there are many available to WSOP bracelet events, listed here with their live event start dates:
--$500 Casino Employees (starts May 29) --$500 Big 50 (starts May 30) --$1,500 Millionaire Maker (starts June 7) --$1K Seniors Championship (starts June 13) --$1K Double Stack (starts June 15) --$1K Ladies Championship (starts June 20) --$1,500 Monster Stack (starts June 21) --$400 Colossus (starts June 26) --$888 Crazy Eights (starts June 28) --$1K Little One for One Drop (starts July 6) --$1,500 Closer (starts July 12) --$10K Main Event (starts July 3)
There will also be satellites online for any of the $1K buy-in WSOP events, and there will be nightly satellites into the live WSOP events on the schedule for the following day. Online bracelet event satellites are running daily, with the $33 mega satellites beginning on June 1. And for the $10K Main Event, there will be numerous satellites, but none will compare to the 25-Seat Scramble. This satellite will fun on June 30 at 7pm with a $215 buy-in and unlimited reentries. There will be 25 Main Event seats guaranteed.

Online Bracelet Events

And that brings us to the actual online WSOP gold bracelet events. There will be one each week of the summer series as follows, all listed in local Vegas time with each event beginning at 3:30pm:
