BetMGM USA to Run New End Boss Poker Series Nov 23-28

The End Boss Poker Series partypoker US Network BetMGM The partypoker US Network put together an online poker tournament series for its players in late November. The series is timed to begin on November 23, at just about the same time as the World Series of Poker finishes up in Las Vegas. Players returning home or those having watched the action online may be hyped up for some poker, and the BetMGM sites in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Michigan will offer it up. The series is also timed to coincide with the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Each of the three states will offer different series, as the partypoker-BetMGM sites are not yet allowed to connect their player pools across state lines. The governors of those states have yet to sign the multi-state online poker agreement. One thing that makes this new End Boss Poker Series unique is its creator. BetMGM worked closely with Darren Elias, the ambassador for the partypoker US Network, to develop this series for all three states.

Looking for an End Boss

In early September, the partypoker US Network announced its first brand ambassador. Darren Elias was going to represent the partypoker and BetMGM online poker sites in the US market. At that time, BetMGM VP of Gaming Matthew Sunderland said that Elias would help elevate the brand and drive awareness for some of the online tournaments and series. That work together began right away, as the new End Boss Poker Serie set to run November 23-28 is a product of that relationship. According to BetMGM Director of Poker Luke Staudenmaier, “We’re thrilled to introduce the End Boss Poker Series to our players. During the development process, we worked closely with Darren, a poker legend, to ensure that the series was accessible to those celebrating the holiday weekend and created with the entire partypoker US Network in mind, from our recreational players to our most competitive players.” https://twitter.com/partypokerUS/status/1458129769711771656?s=20 Elias may be an end boss all by himself, but this series will look for the end boss of the series in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and in Michigan.

Series Details

The inaugural End Boss Poker Series will begin on Tuesday, November 23, and it will run through Sunday, November 28. Across all three states, the guarantees cumulatively will exceed $750K. Each state’s version of the series will offer seven tournaments, including a progressive knockout, PLO, freezeout, six-max, and Main Event. And each site or skin already started running qualifiers and satellites for discounted tournament seats. Those start at just $5. The New Jersey series will run on BetMGM Poker, Borgata Poker, and partypoker NJ. The schedule is:
-Event 1 on Nov 23: $535 NLHE 8-Max ($40K GTD) -Event 2 on Nov 24: $215 PLO 8-Max ($20K GTD) -Event 3 on Nov 25: $320 NLHE PKO 8-Max ($25K GTD) -Event 4 on Nov 26: $215 NLHE Friday Night Freezeout ($15K GTD) -Event 5 on Nov 27: $535 NLHE 6-Max ($40K GTD) -Event 6 on Nov 28 $1,060 NLHE 8-Max Main Event ($150K GTD) -Event 7 on Nov 28: $215 NLHE 8-Max Second Chance ($25K GTD)
The Pennsylvania series changes up the guarantees for each event, though the buy-ins remain the same.
-Event 1 on Nov 23: $535 NLHE 8-Max ($30K GTD) -Event 2 on Nov 24: $215 PLO 8-Max ($5K GTD) -Event 3 on Nov 25: $320 NLHE PKO 8-Max ($20K GTD) -Event 4 on Nov 26: $215 NLHE Friday Night Freezeout ($10K GTD) -Event 5 on Nov 27: $535 NLHE 6-Max ($35K GTD) -Event 6 on Nov 28 $1,060 NLHE 8-Max Main Event ($100K GTD) -Event 7 on Nov 28: $215 NLHE 8-Max Second Chance ($20K GTD)
And the Michigan version also changes the guarantees somewhat, based on the player pool in that state.
