It’s not uncommon for someone to celebrate a birthday or anniversary over a period of time. One could have an anniversary week or even a birthday month.
Americas Cardroom is doing an entire season. Its 21st anniversary already started and continues through October.
Technically, there are three parts to the anniversary. The preparty continues through June with giveaways and site upgrades. The actual party takes place in July with a Mini Online Super Series, anniversary tournament, Venom, and OSS Cub3d. Then, the afterparty will run in September and October with some team pro heads-up challenges, Uruguay tournament (including giveaways), and a surprise tournament.
That’s a lot of partying.
Preparty Festivities
Some of the ACR team pros are already in Las Vegas at the World Series of Poker. They’re settled into the Punter’s Pad, and the hijinks are underway.

That’s fun, but what is there for you to do?
The biggest-ever MOSS starts on June 19, as do the starting flights for the special $1M GTD Anniversary tournament.
Big MOSS
The Mini Online Super Series is the perfect way to build a bankroll during the hot summer months. So, to celebrate summer and the ACR 21st anniversary, this will be the biggest MOSS ever.
The full schedule is not available yet, as the current lineup only lists the 133 events playing through July 2. The organizers are still putting the final touches on the third week of the series. The series will start on Sunday, June 19, and it will run through July 10. And altogether, there will be at least $5M guaranteed across all of the prize pools.
Here are the highlights thus far:
-June 19 (Sunday): $55 buy-in NLHE Kickoff ($200K GTD)-June 19-26: $55 buy-in NLHE PKO Main Event 1 ($300K GTD) (daily flights to Day 2 on June 26)-June 26-July 3: $22 buy-in NLHE Main Event 2 ($210K GTD) (daily flights to Day 2 on July 3)
This special tournament is on the MOSS schedule but not officially a part of that series. It is its own unique tournament with a massive $1M guarantee.
The buy-in is $109, but players can qualify for free or jump in at any part of the satellite step path to win a ticket at a bargain price.
-June 19-July 10: $109 buy-in NLHE Anniversary ($1M GTD) (daily flights to Day 2 on July 10)
The last edition of the Venom tournament was the PKO (progressive knockout) version. That finished up at the end of May. It boasted of its normal $5M guarantee, but the 2,872 entries pushed the prize pool up to $7.18M. In the end, oneplusone from Morocco won the tournament for $814,498, including more than $300K in bounties.
Now, as a part of the Americas Cardroom anniversary, there will be another Venom, this one the non-PKO version. And it will have a $10M guarantee. The buy-in will be the standard $2,650, but satellites and qualifiers are already underway for players to win seats at a fraction of the cost.
The Venom is set to play out as follows:
-Thursday, July 21: Day 1A-Sunday, July 24: Day 1B-Thursday, July 28: Day 1C-Sunday, July 31: Day 1D
