Bovada Begins 12 Days of Turbos Poker Series

Written by Jennifer Newell
Last updated on December 6th, 2020
Bovada 12 Days of Turbo Online Poker Series It’s the holiday season, and online poker sites are feeling festive. Poker players are in various stages of quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic. It’s the perfect time for an online poker series. Bovada Poker decided to offer a series this month but one with fast structures (turbo!), numerous events each day, and more than $2.3 million in guarantees. The 12 Days of Turbos Poker Series got underway on December 5 and already busted through the individual tournament guarantees. The series will run through December 16, and with five or six tournaments daily, there are plenty of chances to get in on it.

Starting Strong

Bovada kicked off its 12 Days of Turbos on Saturday, December 5. Let’s take a look at the numbers:
Event 1: $55 NLHE Warm-Up
  • Entries: 318
  • Prize pool: $15,900 ($12K GTD)
  • Players paid: 72
  • Winner paid: $2,632.41
  Event 2: $109 NLHE Kickoff
  • Entries: 284
  • Prize pool: $28,400 ($15K GTD)
  • Players paid: 59
  • Winner paid: $4,742.88
  Event 3: $162 NLHE 6-Handed
  • Entries: 255
  • Prize pool: $38,250 ($20K GTD)
  • Players paid: 42
  • Winner paid: $8,032.59
  Event 4: $215 NLHE
  • Entries: 210
  • Prize pool: $42K ($25K GTD)
  • Players paid: 44
  • Winner paid: $7,288.81

All of the prize pools in the first four events greatly surpassed their guarantees, which means the series will be more lucrative than the $2.3 million guaranteed.

Next Up: Action and More Action

The tournaments each day begin early in the morning (relatively speaking) and run into the evenings. But with so many options and the turbo structures, players can jump in and out of the series as they have time. As for the tournaments that will round out this weekend, they are as follows:
-Event 5: $27.50 NLHE ($3K GTD) -Event 6: $55 NLHE Knockout ($6K GTD) -Event 7: $27.50 NLHE ($15K GTD) -Event 8: $325 NLHE High Roller ($112K GTD) -Event 9: $215 NLHE ($40K GTD) -Event 10: $82 NLHE Super Turbo ($15K GTD)

Grand Finale

The last of the 12 Days of Turbos tournaments, of which there are 61 in total, will wrap on the evening of December 16. But the majority of the action will happen next Sunday, on December 13. There will be several Main Event tournaments as follows:
-Event 41: $82 NLHE Early Bird Main Event ($12K GTD) -Event 42: $109 NLHE Mini Main Event ($72K GTD) -Event 43: $270 NLHE Main Event ($121,212 GTD)
Satellites to a range of tournaments begin at just $1, with countless opportunities to win seats into any of the three Main Events. Satellites for the largest $270 buy-in Main Event start at just $13.20.
