Championship Online Poker Series to Start January 23

BetOnline Sportsbetting COPS

BetOnline and Sportsbetting.ag share their online poker platforms. That partnership comes in very handy for cash games but especially for large poker tournament series. It means more players can participate in the same events, which allows for bigger prize pool guarantees.

Enter the Championship Online Poker Series, better known as COPS. The first COPS of 2022 is set to begin on January 23, complete with 15 days of 130 tournaments and $2M in guarantees.

COPS Brings Variety

While the Championship Online Poker Series is all No Limit Hold’em, there is other variety to be had. There are tournaments with deep stacks, progressive knockout (PKO) formats, turbos, marathons, rebuys, and combinations of them. Players can choose from six-max, seven-max, or eight-max tables.

The buy-ins are the most diverse, as they start as low as $11 and increase up to $320. The vast majority range from $33 to $109, though. Players of all bankrolls find good options in this series. Of course, that means the satellites also cater to a range of players, with those starting at just $1. (There are also daily freerolls that will award satellite tickets and exclusive contests and missions throughout the series for chances to win tickets.)

There are also a couple of mobile-only events. Players who log in from their mobile devices will have access to special events that won’t be available to desktop players.

Tournaments of Note

The most obvious tournament of note in this COPS will be the Main Event. That will offer the largest guarantee of the series and the most value.

-Event 120 on Feb 6 at 1pm:  $109 buy-in NLHE COPS Main Event (8-max) ($300K GTD)

There are other tournaments with big guarantees as well.

-Event 1 on Jan 23 at 1pm:  $109 NLHE (8-max) ($175K GTD)

-Event 60 on Jan 30 at 1pm:  $109 NLHE (8-max) ($200K GTD)

-Event 125 on Feb 6 at 5pm:  $320 NLHE High Roller (7-max) ($50K GTD)

-Event 126 on Feb 6 at 7pm:  $215 NLHE PKO (7-max) ($50K GTD)

The mobile-only events will be:

-Event 16 on Jan 24 at 9pm:  $11 NLHE Turbo Deep (7-max) ($1K GTD)

-Event 20 on Jan 25 at 3pm:  $11 NLHE Boost (6-max) ($1K GTD)

-Event 31 on Jan 26 at 5pm:  $11 NLHE Deep (7-max) ($1K GTD)

-Event 42 on Jan 27 at 9pm:  $11 NLHE Turbo Deep (6-max) ($1K GTD)

-Event 71 on Jan 31 at 4pm:  $11 NLHE Boost (6-max) ($1K GTD)

-Event 79 on Feb 1 at 3pm:  $11 NLHE Rebuy/Add-On (7-max) ($1K GTD)

-Event 87 on Feb 2 at 3pm:  $11 NLHE PKO (7-max) ($1K GTD)

-Event 95 on Feb 3 at 3pm:  $11 NLHE Boost (6-max) ($1,500 GTD)
