ACR Awarding Poker Vacations to Uruguay

The Winning Poker Network is in a giving mood these days. Its flagship poker site, Americas Cardroom, just finished awarding a group of prize packages to the Prime Social Texas Poker Championship Main Event. Each package was worth $9K and gave players the opportunity to head to Houston to play in a $5K buy-in tournament with a $2M guarantee.

Before that promotion even ended, Americas Cardroom launched into another one. This is giving players the chance to win poker vacations. The prize packages are worth $8K and send players to the Enjoy Punta del Este Resort and Casino in Uruguay.

Enjoy Poker Series

The Enjoy Punta del Este resort is located on the southern coast of Uruguay. It is a resort/casino located on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel has 294 rooms, many with ocean views. Of course, there are numerous restaurants and bars, a spa, and everything a resort is supposed to offer.

The poker room in the casino hosts tournaments regularly. Its signature Enjoy Poker Tour just hosted a series of several tournaments in February. The Main Event was a $1K buy-in and brought in 433 entries. That set the prize pool at $420,010. A couple of American players – Robert Kuhn and Chris Moneymaker – finished in the money, but Ramiro Petrone of Argentina won it for $84,780.

The exact schedule for the upcoming series has not yet been released, but the Main Event will be a $1K buy-in set for April 8-12.

25 Prize Packages

For the April series, Americas Cardroom will award 25 prize packages. Each will be worth $8K, which includes three $1K buy-ins to the Main Event (reentry tournament), $2K for airfare, six nights at the Enjoy Punta del Este Resort for April 7-13, airport transportation, free breakfasts, and $1K in spending money.

There are three main satellites:

-Sunday, March 13 at 5pm ET: $109 buy-in Takedown satellite (5 packages GTD)

-Sunday, March 20 at 6pm ET: $109 buy-in Takedown satellite (10 packages GTD)

-Sunday, March 27 at 6pm ET: $109 buy-in Takedown satellite (10 packages GTD)

However, players can qualify for free. Freerolls run every day through Sunday, March 27, each one awarding 50 seats to the next qualifier. There is one turbo SuperSat every day for just $1.40 that guarantees 15 seats to the next level. Then, there is a Mega every day for just $11. Those each guarantee 10 seats to the Takedown satellites.
