The September Freerollers Open Qualifiers Have Begun – Could YOU Make the Final?

The Legal U.S. Poker Sites Freerollers Open is back! After a dramatic August final saw ‘Nagisa’ win the top prize of $180 in August, a whole new month of qualifiers has begun. With 87 players due to qualify before the end of this month for the September finale, could the reigning champion be about to go back-to-back?

We’ve got all the action from the first ten days of competition on Legal U.S. Poker Sites as players tried to book their seats, with 30 players qualifying between September 1^st - 10^th.

A massive $500 will be up for grabs in the September Freerollers Open final at the end of the month, and if you’ve not made it so far, don’t worry, there are another 57 opportunities for you to do so - for FREE! What’s on Offer at the LUSPS Freerollers Open Final?

Just like in August, September will end with a $500 prizepool Freerollers Open final, where 87 qualifiers in total will do battle for glory. On that night, only the final table of nine will make money, with eighth and ninth place winning $10, seventh place claiming $20 and all the way up to a winner who will cash out $180 in free money!

Since the start of September, 30 qualifiers have made the final cut, and in some style. Here are three of the very best final hands from this week’s qualifiers from September 1^st - 30^th inclusive.

1. Bakito vs. Jakecrenesans - How to Win with the Worst Hand in Poker

On the first day of the month, Jakecrenesans tried to make it back to the end-of-month finale just a day after coming 8^th in August’s showdown for a return of $10. He was denied by Bakito, who won with what is statistically the worst starting hand in poker. All-in with six-five, Jakecrenesans needed help against Bakito’s seven-deuce of diamonds. A flop of 8-3-2 paired the chip leader’s hand but threatened a straight for Jakecrenesans. No such luck, as another deuce arrived on the turn, before an ineffectual five came on the river. Jakecrenesans was denied but would eventually qualify on the very next night.

2. Nagisa vs. honda123 - A World of Outs

Two nights later, Nagisa attempted to follow up their outright win in August for $180 by making the September finale. Up against hinda123 heads-up, Nagisa had a pair of fours and the bigger chip stack in the final hand. Holding king-eight offsuit, honda123 was an outsider pre-flop when the chips went into the middle with just a 45% of winning the hand and doubling up. A flop of A-Q-9 with two spades kept Nagisa a big favorite, now improving their odds of progression to 68% but a seven of spades on the turn meant any spade, king or eight would save honda123. It never came, a four of hearts on the river to give Nagisa trips and send them through to back-to-back month-end specials.

3. donAK7 vs. Forlandiego vs. govmike21 - Three-Way Shootout

Three players were all-in pre-flop a couple of nights later as donAK7 qualified for September’s end-of-month spectacular in style. Holding queen-deuce of diamonds, they were all-in pre-flop and were called by the shorter stacked duo of Forlandiego with king-ten and govmike21 with eight-three. The flop of 7-3-2 put govmike21 ahead and in line for a dramatic treble up. A queen on the turn changed all that, though, and only another three would deny them progress to the final. It was close, but a four on the river was no good for govmike21 as Forlandiego started the hand ahead and ended it worst to propel donAK7 through to September’s final.

Freeroll Qualifiers September 1^st - 10^th 2025

This month’s Freerollers Open qualifiers will send 87 players to the end of September finale, where a $500 prize pool will be divided between the final nine players. Whoever finishes ninth will win $10, while the winner will walk away with an incredible $180 of free money!

30 players have already qualified, and amazingly, two of the last nine players in August’s finale have already made the cut in September! Last month’s winner, ‘Nagisa’, won $180 in August and is already back for more! They qualified on the third day of qualifiers on September 3^rd. A day before, ‘Jakecrenesans’ - who came eighth last month for a result worth $10 - made the cut for this month’s final after falling one place short on the first day of the month. Talk about dedication!
