More Qualifiers Make the September Freerollers Open Finale

This month’s Legal U.S. Poker Sites Freerollers Open has continued in style this week, with several more players making the end of month finale that will award a $500 prize pool to the final nine players of the tournament.

Last month, ‘Nagisa’ won the top prize of $180, and in September’s qualifiers, Nagisa has already made their way into the 87-player finals night which will take place on Sunday 28^th September. Last week we told you about the first 30 qualifiers, and over the past week, another 18 players have all booked their seats. What’s on Offer at the LUSPS Freerollers Open Final?

As in August’s showdown, September’s Freerollers Open final will end with a $500 prize pool finale, where 87 qualifiers in total will hope to win the top prize of $180. Just the final table of nine players will win prizes, with eighth and ninth place worth $10, seventh taking home $20 and the runner-up will win $100. Who will cash out $180 in free money as the winner?

Making the Grade

The Legal U.S. Poker Sites Freerollers Open takes place in just nine days on the last Sunday in September. With a top prize of $180 awarded to the winner, the runner-up claiming $100 and everyone else scrapping over a share of $220 between them, who are this week’s 18 Freerollers Open qualifiers? Let’s look at some of the action, as some dramatic hands have propelled the winners through to the final.

Since the start of September, 48 qualifiers have made the cut. Here are three of the very best final hands from this week’s qualifiers from September 11^th - 17^th inclusive.

1. KennyJones12345 vs. verbert007 - Deuce Another Day

On September 13^th, the luck was in for ‘KennyJones12345’, who won a crucial final hand against the odds against the brilliantly named ‘verbert007’. In the 2006 movie Casino Royale, James Bond won an improbable hand against his enemy, Le Chiffre. Perhaps that’s what verbert007 assumed was going to happen when they got it in with the best of it, holding jack-eight to KennyJones12345’s six-eight. Two sixes on the flop changed all that, though and verbert007 was looking to the next qualifier as they doubtless remembered that in the final hand for James Bond’s victory, he was playing against the odds.

2. Roborobo vs. Wizzy2 - The Broken-Hearted River

One night later, ‘Roborobo’ and ‘Wizzy2’ battled in a hand that went one way and the other after the chips went in. Roborobo was at risk when they shoved pre-flop with king-six against Wizzy2’s ace-eight with the ace of hearts. A flop of A-6-5 all in hearts gave Roborobo two pair but gave Wizzy2 the draw to the nut flush. A nine of diamonds on the turn was of no consequence but the jack of hearts on the river was, giving Wizzy2 the heart flush and sending Roborobo to the rail broken-hearted.

3. Kaluki vs. Faaaja - Flushed Away

A dominant chip stack can change everything in poker and so it proved in the final of our three final hands, where Kaluki had built an impressive lead going into the final battle. So much so that they were happy to call Faaja’s shove with queen-jack of hearts holding only nine-seven offsuit. Kaluki’s weaker holding stayed behind on the A-J-9 flop, but there were two spades to match the seven of spades in Kaluki’s hand. A six of spades on the turn meant one more would give the leader an unlikely runner-runner flush and that’s exactly what happened. An eight of spades fell on the river and Faaja was on the rail as Kaluki booked their seat in the September Freerollers Open final.

Freeroll Qualifiers September 11^th - 17^th 2025

This month’s Freerollers Open qualifiers will send 87 players to the end of September finale, where a $500 prize pool will be divided between the final nine players. Whoever finishes ninth will win $10, while the winner will walk away with an incredible $180 of free money!

48 players have now qualified, and amazingly, two of the last nine players in August’s finale have already made the cut in September! Last month’s winner, ‘Nagisa’, won $180 in August and is already back for more! They qualified on the third day of qualifiers on September 3^rd. A day before, ‘Jakecrenesans’ - who came eighth last month for a result worth $10 - made the cut for this month’s final after falling one place short on the first day of the month. Talk about dedication!
