Two final tables played out on Thursday.
The first one to finish was the Ladies Championship. So many people wanted to watch it that PokerGO made the livestream available to the public for free on YouTube. More than 20K people tuned in, and Dr. Lara Eisenberg earned her first World Series of Poker bracelet.
Later into the evening, Dalibor Dula represented the Czech Republic and captured his first piece of WSOP gold. He bested a field of more than 1,300 players to do it.
Here’s what all went down on Day 15 of the 2021 WSOP.
Event 22: $1K/$10K NLHE Ladies Championship
Five players returned for an extra day of play. As mentioned, PokerGO livestreamed it on YouTube. The player with the most experience and a member of the Poker Hall of Fame, JJ Liu, was the first to exit. Mikiyo Aoki looked as if she had the stack to run over the table, but Eisenberg took over that role. Aoki couldn’t regain her momentum and busted in third. Ultimately, Dr. Lara Eisenberg, a radiologist and record-setting skydiver, won and spoke to PokerGO about her win:
“I work every other week, so I do have more time off than most people who are still working, and the stuff that’s available at BBZ Poker with (Jonathan ‘apestyles’ Van Fleet) is unmatched, and that alone can take you to a higher level. I’ve had just great experiences with mental coaching from Elliot Roe, and Jared Tendler’s work is really amazing. … It’s going to be hard to pass my day job up entirely, but I’m going to continue to play, and when I retire, I’ll probably be playing a little bit more.”
