Players Start Road to Vegas 2024 WSOP Online Satellites at GGPoker

The World Series of Poker’s summer series is only two months away. The 2024 WSOP opens for players in Las Vegas on May 28. Players are getting ready for poker summer camp, but many of them want the chance to win tournament buy-ins at a discount. That’s where the online poker satellites come in.

While the WSOP revealed its 99-event summer schedule in mid-February, poker players have been waiting for further information. The Tournament of Champions is one point of uncertainty, but the other is the satellite program on the WSOP-affiliated online poker sites.

As of the end of March, GGPoker did release its “Road to Vegas” satellite program. The WSOP.com poker site has yet to publish its program, which is likely to include a live satellite “Main Event Maynia” lineup and online satellites for WSOP Main Event seats in Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ontario.

Let’s get to the information available as of March.

GGPoker Road to Vegas

The World Series of Poker continued to deepen its relationship with online poker operator GGPoker in 2024. Again, GGPoker will run exclusive online poker satellites for players outside of the United States. GGPoker and sister site Natural8 will offer a number of ways to qualify for WSOP seats online.

In fact, GGPoker’s “Road to Vegas” program qualified 774 players for the World Series, and they aim to outdo themselves this year. “This summer,” said GGPoker Ambassador Daniel Negreanu, “we aim to send 1,000 players to their WSOP dream.”

Officially, GGPoker announced the “Road to Vegas” on March 20, though it started the previous day. The packages for players who win seats will put them into the $10K WSOP Main Event, which begins on July 3, 2024. Each package will include:

  • $10K Main Event tournament entry via direct registration
  • $1K for hotel accommodations in Las Vegas, plus a special promo code for Caesars Entertainment properties
  • $1K for travel expenses and spending money
  • GGPoker merchandise and gifts
  • Access to GGPoker Platinum Lounge at Paris Las Vegas during WSOP

(It should be noted that any player who cannot attend the WSOP will receive a compensatory award of $9,300 in GGPoker tournament dollars if they contact GGPoker prior to June 30.)

The other bonus for players who compete in the Main Event through a GGPoker qualifier is an extra $1M on top of the winner’s prize should they win the tournament. The player must be willing to wear a GGPoker patch through the entire Main Event, but a win will warrant an extra $1M and their face/likeness on GGPoker promotional ads going forward.

For players in parts of the world in which GGPoker and Natural8 operate, players will find more than 10,000 satellites, thousands of which will offer entry through three qualifiers. Specifically, there will be direct entry satellites every Sunday at 18:30 UTC (translating to 11:30am PST).

ClubGG Road to Vegas

For poker players in areas outside of the global GGPoker and Natural8 realm, there is ClubGG. This is the subscription-based arm of GGPoker that operates in many parts of the United States and some other territories.

Players can sign up for a standard membership for $9.99 per month, but the Platinum membership for $49.99 per month offers many more perks. Platinum members receive unlimited access to Stage 1 tournaments, as well as free poker classes, participation in the loyalty bonus rewards program, and a 20% discount in the GGPoker store.

ClubGG is offering qualifiers to its members to win any of the 91 WSOP prize packages available. That package will include:

  • $10K Main Event tournament entry via direct registration
  • $2K for travel expenses
  • GGPoker merchandise and gifts
  • Access to GGPoker Platinum Lounge at Paris Las Vegas during WSOP

These players, too, will be qualified to win the extra $1M should one of them win the 2024 WSOP Main Event while wearing the GGPoker patch throughout the tournament.

In April, May, and June, there is also a special “Vegas Crew” promotion to win a trip for three people to Las Vegas. By encouraging others to join ClubGG through a unique referral link and sign up for a membership, the referring player wins bonus chips with which to play on the site. Each month, there will be three 2024 WSOP Vegas prize packages awarded, packages that include the above-listed items, including the Main Event entry.
