GGPoker Launches Road to Vegas WSOP Satellites

Written by Jennifer Newell
Last updated on April 6th, 2022
GGPoker Road to Vegas WSOP satellites GGPoker did it last year and updated it for this year. The 2022 Road to Vegas is GGPoker’s means by which to send poker players from around the world to Las Vegas this summer to play in the World Series of Poker Main Event. The promotion launched on April 3 and will award numerous WSOP Main Event prize packages in the coming weeks. This is one of the few online satellite promotions sanctioned by the WSOP itself.

Road to Vegas

The Road to Vegas is already underway. It started on April 3 and will run for an unspecified amount of time. It will likely continue through April and May, though GGPoker mentioned no end date for the promotion. Players can start their journey for as little as $1 and work their way up to the satellites featuring Main Event packages. When a player does win a Main Event package, it will include:
-$1,200 for round-trip airfare to/from Las Vegas (unused amount will remain on Main Event Travel site for future event use) -7 nights at Bally’s Hotel (booked via Main Event Travel) (if still in the Main Event past Day 6, it is unclear if GGPoker will pay for extra nights or if the player is responsible) -$10K entry & fee to 2022 WSOP Main Event -GGPoker merchandise and gifts
Players must know that they can only use one package. Should they win more than one, they can accept $10K worth of GGPoker tournament dollars online. This will also be the offer if the player cannot take the trip to Las Vegas after winning a package. Those who win a package on GGPoker will be required to wear a GGPoker patch while playing in the Main Event. The benefit of winning a seat on GGPoker, besides the travel and accommodations being included, is that GGPoker provides a direct buy-in to the Main Event. The player won’t need to wait in the registration line. In addition, WSOP package winners will receive access to the Platinum Lounge at the World Series in Las Vegas. Another benefit is that all GGPoker qualifiers will compete in a last-longer bet. The last one of the qualifiers still in the Main Event will win a WSOP Europe prize package. Players who compete for the Main Event seats should read the terms and conditions carefully. This will avoid confusion as to expectations and answer questions. That information will be available when players sign in to their GGPoker accounts. https://twitter.com/GGPoker/status/1510996923540553728?s=20&t=grQHUprg1svTeivdfusLmA
