The World Poker Tour celebrated International Women’s Day this week, as it does each year. With an executive team consisting of more women than men, the WPT continues to increase its commitment to bring more women into the game of poker as players. One of the ways it will do that on the heels of IWD 2022 is to offer a $9K bounty tournament on its subscription site.
Why International Women’s Day?
The point of IWD in general is to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The WPT wants to do that and feature women who’ve achieved great things in poker and to recognize those involved with women’s poker groups that support and encourage women.
The Women in Poker (WIP) Bounty Tournament will offer a $9K prize pool. It is divided up into two ways to win.
Each of the seven featured bounty players will offer a $1K WPT Prime Passport to the player who knocks them out. Those passports are good for buy-ins at any of the tour stops on the WPT Prime schedule. The players holding those bounties will be:

Speaking of Lynn Gilmartin of the WPT, she will play as well as host the Twitch livestream, which anyone can watch on the ClubWPT Twitch channel. Linda Johnson, Lupe Soto, and Katine Stone will be featured guests on that stream while they’re playing. Other guests (and probably players) on the stream will be:

How to Play
Players must be a member of ClubWPT to play. The subscription site offers two types of memberships.
The basic VIP account can be billed monthly, quarterly, or annually, the latter offering a savings of 21%. The monthly price starts at $27.95 per month. This includes access to tournaments and SNGs that offer more than $100K in cash and prizes each month. Players receive invitations to official World Poker Tour events, and they can access every show in the WPT library.
A Diamond membership is pricier at $149.95 per month. This includes everything that comes with the VIP membership as well as bigger prizes, more qualifiers for live WPT events, smaller tournament fields, and special access at WPT special events. The most important benefit is a membership in the LearnWPT Insider Access program, which is valued at $99 per month alone.
