The WSOP Player’s Guide to Las Vegas

By late afternoon, a typical WSOP player has already spent close to ten hours inside the Horseshoe and Paris tournament halls. The short 20-minute breaks vanish quickly: restroom lines, unread messages, coffee, water, food, and the walk to the next table all have to fit before the cards are in the air again. Most do not leave the casino. They grab the nearest sandwich, pay $6 for a bottle of water, and head straight to the tables.

A few hundred meters away, that same bottle costs $1.50 at CVS. Walk for five minutes in another direction, and you’ll end up at Esther’s Kitchen — rated 4.9 stars and named USA Today’s 2026 Restaurant of the Year. Yet many first-time WSOP visitors never find it, opting instead for Wing Zone, a 2.6-star restaurant, because it’s located steps from the tournament floor.

This WSOP Las Vegas guide answers the question every player eventually asks: Where should I eat, drink, and recover near the tables?

A Short Walk Opens Up Better Food, Coffee, and Value

Some of the best-rated stops in our player guide aren’t inside the casino resorts. Across food, coffee, and budget-friendly picks, many of the highest-rated venues are found just beyond the casino doors. Esther’s Kitchen (4.9★), around a 15-minute walk from the WSOP, holds a 2.3-star advantage over Wing Zone (2.6★), while Iwana Specialty Coffee (4.8★) also outranks LavAzza inside Horseshoe (3.9★).

Post-Event Entertainment: Cash Game Poker Rooms

Looking to keep the game going between events? Here are the recommended rooms for cash action once the tournament day is done.

ARIA Las Vegas

For Pot-Limit Omaha, ARIA is one of the Strip’s most dependable stops. Action builds across multiple stakes every day, from lower-limit games to bigger lineups later in the evening. The large room and experienced dealers keep seat changes and new starts moving without much delay, even during peak hours.

Off the felt, ARIA has another edge. Din Tai Fung, Lemongrass, and Javier’s are steps from the poker room, so players can skip the usual grab-and-go and sit down to something real before getting back in the lineup.

Wynn Las Vegas

A well-designed poker room goes a long way after 10+ hours in the same chair, and Wynn sets the standard for atmosphere. Despite opening in 2005, the room still feels newer than many Strip competitors thanks to how meticulously it’s maintained. Service is consistently excellent — but popularity comes at a cost, and wait lists can stretch for hours during the WSOP.

Many highlight the food as the weakest part of the experience, with few healthy options beyond expensive sushi. Espresso solves the coffee problem, while Overlook Lounge offers an easy post-session stop without leaving the property.

Venetian Las Vegas

The Venetian’s modern 50-table poker room is the largest on the Strip, offering reliable 1/3 and 2/3 NLH action around the clock, comfortable adjustable chairs, USB/USB-C charging at every seat, self-serve drinks, nearby dining, and convenient access from the Palazzo parking garage. Cash game players also earn $3/hour in comps, with regular high-hand and bad beat promotions.

The main drawback is ventilation. Despite recent upgrades, smoke is noticeably more apparent than at ARIA or Wynn and can become distracting during long sessions, particularly for those sensitive to it.

Methodology: How We Built the Map

The 2026 WSOP Las Vegas guide combines quantitative review data with first-hand insights from the poker community to identify the most relevant recommendations for players attending the series.

We compiled our recommendations by analyzing average star ratings consolidated across Google Reviews, Yelp, TripAdvisor, and OpenTable. Aggregating reviews from multiple platforms reduced the influence of any single source and provided a more balanced basis for comparison. Our team then verified opening hours, price bands, and location details through official venue sources.

All walking distances were measured from the official WSOP venues at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas. Beyond the quantitative data, recommendations were informed by on-the-ground insights from this year’s WSOP players, food and venue suggestions shared by poker professionals including Daniel Negreanu, a curated collection of recommended spots from poker industry insider Paul Seaton, poker community discussions, and observations from poker content creators covering the series.

This approach combines publicly available review data with recommendations from experienced members of the poker community to highlight venues that are both highly rated and genuinely useful for WSOP players, offering an insider’s scoop.
